Button chaos: a lesson exponential improvement of creativity

So, spring ... Spring! And everything is related to her: the sun above her head, and under her feet - the dirt and fertilizer of the planet, the rich inner world of all the surrounding barbosiks and seals ... Plus avitaminosis, mood swings and occasionally rolling spring are sad when you don’t want to do anything and you can’t. We will fight! And improvised means, namely: buttons! Yes, simple buttons! So that our richer inner world will spring up like a spring for the joy of ourselves and our loved ones.

This master class is aimed, first of all, at the development of “creative” (not called “creativity” in an intellectual way, not to be confused with “cretinism” and “creationism”) and at meditative relaxation leading to the ejection of the creative chakras and the flowering of your depressed daily the everyday life of the inner artist. 🙂

Note Bene: I, as always, in my master classes, try to show technology. Its further use completely depends on your - and only your - imagination. For the display of creative-button technology, a textile bracelet will be sculpted in style, probably, boho, well, or as I prefer to say - “messy sewing”. The main material is buttons, those that are “with holes” (and not on the leg - this is important). Buttons for this technology are rolling any, even the most simple and primitive.

Here's what we get at the exit:

Yes Yes Yes! These are all buttons :) They are just sewn on in an unconventional and, I would even say, in an alternative way.

Well, there are holes in the buttons, and who said that you can only sew this way: pull a thread from one hole to another? And no one said! :) The options for sewing are not that a million, but ... It is enough that the brain lost in the skull agitated and snarled excitedly, inventing ways and escaping from the trap of the everyday Matrix :) Believe on the word: in the process creativity really takes off exponentially , all sorts of thoughts are running in, interesting ideas will hatch like dinosaurs, as if by themselves :) Verified by personal experience ...

Well, have begun! We will need:

1. Buttons. With holes.

2. The basis for the bracelet.A piece of canvas, burlap, jeans - any sufficiently dense fabric, preferably monophonic, but not necessary. Depends on design.

3. Flizelin (lay under the base), but you can do without it, if the fabric is very dense.

4. Threads. The most different, multi-colored. Any

5. Needles - thicker and thinner.

6. Pleasant to the touch cloth (or leather-suede) for lining.

7. Glue. Just a few drops. You can "Moment", well, or any other that there in the bins 🙂

Button Short(Do you know?): The most ancient buttons found by archaeologists are 5 thousand years old. In Russian, the word “button” (according to Dahl’s dictionary) is “pugalka,” that is, among other things, an amulet that frightens evil forces. In Ancient Rus, buttons including were wards and did not have the utilitarian function of "fastener". So our with you bracelet of buttons can also be used as a repeller of all bad :)

We throw out on the table ochumnelnye bins and choose the appropriate buttons:

For the master class, I specifically chose the buttons brighter and newer in order to make the photos more contrasting and “informative”. In fact, you can use any buttons, the most simple, such as underwear or jacket and costume. If it is correctly sewed, then even the most primitive button "will play" ...

We pretend the location of the buttons on a piece of canvas:

Well, approximately, let it be. In the process and on the fly, we will understand and make adjustments to the creatives :)

A couple of drops of glue are sculpted on the back side of the gingham flizelin (to keep everything tight). Then we find the middle of our bracelet and begin to sew the very first button. Like this:

Threads take a contrasting color (in this case, I chose pistachio green). Thread in one addition, only in one. If something goes "not there", with a single thread it is easier to return and perekhryunichit already "there"

First, sew the "general circuit" to hold (for reliability, you can again put a button on a small piece of glue).

Then we sew completely one side from the top:

And we "finish" the bottom:

Kept tight! FIG tear off :) But our task is to continue the design. We take the threads of a different color (I have yellow) and continue our button mess:

Here, as you can see, the threads were put “crosswise” and “overlapped”, through “distant”, and not “near” holes (mda, “near hole”, go around what I carry). Here’s what comes out:

It is necessary to sew tightly enough, but do not overtighten. In the process, you will feel when the "norms", and when the "bust". First, sew one side, then - the second. We look:

Well, it seems to be nothing like that ... The brain rustles like a processor with a new cooler 🙂 Until the drive is gone, we grab the second button and sew it:

Again, first - a general basting (you can and a drop of glue, yes). Threads - dark green, holes - "near" :) We sew "in full":

Something like not enough (“Nyat grab!”, - as my mother said, appreciating not too successful works of art, bearing in mind that the catharsis is not achieved).

The brain is still gone and sent the carcass for bright orange threads.

Well, here is a catharsis! Everything started to sing, began to play and even danced :) Orange - cross-stitch we sew. Then another yellowish add:

At this stage, it may be necessary to push the needle through the holes in the button with the help of an improvised tool, for example, round pliers. Because we have already drunk a lot of threads and it is difficult to push the needle with our hands ... We go to the Man, pick him up from the wondrous couch, where he wonders at the TV, ask to “give the strument” to the Woman :) When you show what the “strument” is for, it will guarantee фи And everything will give 🙂 Then he will still crawl up behind the thicketor partisan, puff at the back of his head and gawk - what do you get there 🙂 Perhapseven want to participate! Here it is and aha! You can easily give him all the pants, shirts with dangling buttons and high. It is necessary to declare that, before reaching the fiftieth level of sewing on buttons, let him first master the basics - and here everything will sew! And then you check

Okay, jokes aside, put the man back on the couch, let it lie serene, let's go further.

The third button! And another way of sewing:

Everything, as usual - a basting, sewing-embroidery:

Bored somehow, do not you think? We take again the dark green thread!

In, it is already better :) We grind off!

But still no ice ... Hmmm ... Orange! Sorry, here my sharpness has disappeared in my “garlic press,” which I photograph. But the main thing is clear:

Urya-urya, and all not in vain! It turned out as it should - bardichno and colorful ноцвет

We are already close to the finale ... We grab a mahusenku pugovichku and sew it:

By the way: these brown buttons are turned upside down here. They have priests (I ask pardon) more interesting for our design purposes turned out to be, rather than little faces :) With people, this also sometimes happens, mda :)

Next, a small "lesson in the lesson" - lifhak, how to make a perfectly round round rag (or any other form). We take a ring (from jewelry, from some children's toys, you can even have a puck or a pad):

We make a draft so that it lies flat:

And we sew!

Ideal circle 🙂 In this way, you can make whole embroidery, with different forms, I repeat. The main thing is to choose a material that, for example, when washing a finished product does not rust, does not shed, in general, does not spoil the thing. Stainless steel, plastic, aluminum, textolite, something like this. The hearts of the flower primitive in this way are well obtained - ideally even and funny. Do you see A small ring from the very edge here is sewn in the same way, that's what the heartlets of flowers are obtained, if that is what we see!

With the ring, everything is fine, but again something is missing on the button ... Brain, rustling! And here:

Just a few stitches of yellow thread - and now just enough!

Further, already briefly, because in fact this is all! 🙂 We chop a couple of tiny brown buttons above and below rhomboid yellow:

The central big button is also covered with orange, well, that's how it felt like. I'm more like a smile :)

Now everything is very, very simple - we include our inner silkworm and "weave" the second half of our bracelet according to the same scheme as the first:

Now we need to slightly “bring” the bracelet, trimming the green buttons with “bardachny frames” with the seam “Forward Needle”. This is not particularly noticeable, but with such "frames" the bracelet looks finished. Then we sew the lining in any convenient way. In this case, I simply sheathed the lining with a stitched seam so that nothing crumbled, in a couple of places I grabbed it with a secret seam, and frankly and shamelessly attached the edges to the “face” with the same “forward needle” with bright orange threads. On the edge of the bracelet we sew a button-fastener - in the most usual way, purely utilitarian:

At the other end make a loop:

From the rope ... Another life hacking for those who, like me, love canvas burlap. You can wrap a loop with a sacking thread 🙂 Gently, without haste and monkey, pull out one long thread from the canvas. And we use it as an ordinary thread:

Well, actually, the finished loop:

It is possible to sew with such “sacking” threads, and to embroider (really you can, believe an experimental experimental rabbit already). The main thing is not to overtighten. Also, any interesting designs are obtained when such a thread participates in the process 🙂

Actually, everything is ready with us:

And here it is - a crazy piece on the foot of an Ochumelts:

Cozy such a thing ... 🙂 Warm 🙂 Everything, girls - really everything!

Well, a couple more words ...

Here, for example, a button sewn in the same alternative way for the middle of an oduvan:

The button is the simplest, as I said at the beginning, linen, ancient (oh, sorry, vintage), weathered with fifty washings, turned yellow and ugly, but it looks good. The method of sewing - also somewhat different 🙂

It is possible to use this bardot-button technology when the buttons go exactly as a design element for a clean decoration: dresses, pants, mittens-mitts. Along the edges of the hoods, the buttons sewn up look very cool 🙂 Ochelé (hippie-like hirat) also looks cool 🙂 You can also make wall panels using the same method.

Or, for example, button eyes to sew in textile attic toys - also, not as usual (Boredom! I am bored, Watson!), But by all sorts of such slightly insane ways. In short, the options are heap, mighty and creative 🙂

Another life hack is the same alternative button-based activities with children. Also for the development of imagination and non-standard creative thinking 🙂

Well, another plus, of course, I think about all uporotyh ... again I beg pardon - a convinced - ochumeltsam - is cheapness of materials and the ability to dispose of all the gorgeous "remnants, lumps and feathering." Who has the house does not have a five liter cans hrenilliardom (which means "well, just sooooo-sooooo-oooooooochen lot") of "not sewn mare's tail" single buttons that have nowhere to go?) Now we know where is the mare, where her tail and what to do as buttons buttons).
