Electric and gas water heaters

Electric and gas water heaters

Appliances for heating water on a personal and industrial scale differ primarily in the type of energy used. The most popular are the following types of water heaters:

  • gas water heaters;
  • electric speakers.

Each of them has its own pros, cons, and limits of applicability. The main advantages of gas as an energy carrier are the following:

  1. Low price. Natural gas is considered one of the cheapest types of raw materials. If there are no meters for gas supply, then its payment is fixed. In this case, the connection of another consumer will not affect the family or industrial expenses.
  2. Independence from electricity. At interruptions in the supply of light or replacement of electrical wiring, the gas column continues to function.
  3. Simplicity of design. In the event of a malfunction, repair is not difficult; calling a specialist will be much cheaper than if an electric boiler breaks down.

The negative aspects of this type of equipment can be reduced to the following:

  1. Open fire can be a source of fire, especially if the column is handled carelessly.
  2. In case of some malfunctions, the gas may not burn completely, which may cause poisoning or an explosion.

Electric speakers are characterized by a greater degree of safety and a higher price, both of the device itself and of its subsequent maintenance and servicing. There are two main types of this equipment:

  1. Accumulative electric water heaters.
  2. Instantaneous electric water heaters.

The first type of boilers is characterized by the presence of a tank or tank where heated water can be stored. Such devices have impressive dimensions, weight, and present certain difficulties during installation. They are indispensable in a private house where people live permanently, or at industrial facilities where the presence of gas heaters is impossible by technical standards, but there is a need for hot water.

Flowing electric water heaters are used with minor and temporary needs in the supply of warm water. In them it does not accumulate or accumulates in small quantities. They are more economical and portable.They are established in places of temporary settlement, seasonal houses, some summer sanatoriums.
