A vehicle voltage converter (also known as an inverter) is a very useful device that allows you to turn 12V from a car's on-board network to 220V. Thanks to him, it becomes possible to operate various household appliances away from stationary sockets. For example, using an inverter, you can easily charge the laptop with a complete charger, heat the water with an electric kettle, run a drill or any other equipment.

How to connect the converter and install it?
First you need to decide on the output power of the converter. If you only need 300-500 watts, then you can do with a cheap inverter. In cases where you need to power a powerful equipment that consumes up to 1000 watts, you need a more expensive and powerful device.
Connection and installation of the converter:
- First, fix the converter unit inside the car body; it is best to place it in the trunk;
- Now install the standard sockets inside the car and connect them with copper wire (cross-section not less than 1.5 mm2a) with the output of the converter;
- After that, you need to lay a copper wire (cross section of at least 3 mm2), connected to the converter input, under the lining inside the cabin, right up to the battery;
- The wires from the inverter are connected to the battery terminals with respect to polarity.
