How to open cr2?

The .cr2 extension has a fairly narrow range of applications that work with it. The fact is that such files are created in Canon digital cameras. A file with the extension .cr2 is an image that is built on the basis of the .TIFF format, which is very popular among developers.

The .cr2 images are stored on the camera until it is possible to transfer them to a computer. After downloading to a hard or external disk, the user is able to process these images, adding contrast, changing colors and so on.

How to open .cr2 format? Three programs work with this extension: Adobe Photoshop CS, ACDSee Photo Manager, ACD Systems Canvas. The second two programs are probably on the accompanying complete set of the camera disk.

Older Canon cameras saved captured images in .crw format. At the moment, this format is fading further and further into the background. Now you know how to open cr2, and how to use it.
