How to take bee pollen?

Bee pollen is one of the most useful bee products. But if you do not know how to take bee pollen, you can negate all its useful properties. Folk remedies include bee pollen in the composition of recipes for the treatment of a large number of diseases. Its healing properties are due to the presence of trace elements, amino acids and vitamins vital for the human body.

How to take pollen for medicinal purposes

Be aware that bee pollen, similarly to other bee products, is best absorbed with saliva. Therefore, it should be kept as long as possible in the mouth, dissolving like candy. At the same time nutrients enter the body through the mucous membrane of the mouth. If the pollen is simply swallowed or washed down with water, the therapeutic effect will be minimized, and the pollen will simply turn into a high-calorie product.

Natural bee pollen can be sold in two versions:

  • in the natural (dry) form.In this case, the collected pollen is dried in a certain way and packaged in bags;
  • pollen drenched in honey. A mixture of pollen with liquid honey (preferably May) for 50% longer retains its beneficial properties.

When buying pollen, one should make sure that it is natural pollen, and not artificially created pollen. The fresher the pollen, the more valuable it contains. Dry pollen even in tightly closed packaging after 6 months loses its healing properties by 20-30%, in a year - by 40-50%.

If the pollen has a taste of bitterness, you can add some honey to it. When buying artificially created pollen in gelatin capsules, before use, it must be removed from the shell and taken in its natural form.

Opinions of experts about the necessary daily rate of bee pollen diverge. Therefore, it is better to start taking it from 5 g. (A teaspoon without a slide), gradually moving to 12-15 g. The daily dose should be divided into two doses (in the morning and evening). Evening reception should occur before 18-00, as it acts stimulant on the nervous system. Take pollen should be 30 minutes before eating and drinking. The course of treatment is usually 1 month. It is recommended to take 3 courses a year: in October to increase immunity,in January for the prevention of colds and viral diseases and in late March - early April to fill the body with essential vitamins and minerals.

Children need to use bee pollen only with the permission of the pediatrician, reducing the daily rate: children aged 3-5 years - 4 years, 6-12 years - 8 years, after 13 years - 12 years
