Original embroidery collar
Recently, clamps have become very popular. They are especially appreciated by hand knit. They can be decorated with beads, stitches and much more than others, but today I will talk about how to tie a yoke and decorate it with at least elementary embroidery. So. For our yoke, we will need two skeins of different colors. My main color is white with sequins, already sewn on a thread, I used black threads for embroidery. Also on hand you need to have knitting needles, a hook and a large "gypsy" needle. It is important to remember that the embroidery thread must be at least 40% thinner than the main thread. For example, if my main one goes to 3, then the other goes to 1.5 thickness. We collect on the needles 70 loops and knit with purl. The entire collar is knitted with a stocking pattern, in which the seamy row alternates with the front one. Do not clutter up the collar and patterns, and embroidery (even if only one small element) at a time.Firstly, it does not look very nice. Secondly, the use of other patterns can complicate the process of embroidery, especially when you need to count the number of "crosses". The length of the clamp choose your own. I did it for two turns, while leaving a few empty seats for the collar of the jacket, so the approximate length is 110 centimeters.I would not advise making a length of 3 turns. The width of our yoke is about 40-45 centimeters, depending on the density of knitting and thread. Three turns, and this is almost two meters long, this width will look ridiculous, besides it is uncomfortable to wear. After finishing knit scarf, remove the loop, leaving the last. Then we connect both edges of the scarf with a hook, so that we have a collar. You should pay attention to the fact that the beginning of the scarf will be a little wider, rather than the end, although there and 70 loops. This is because the beginning of always always looser. In addition, at the end of the loop, the width narrows. It is not necessary to be afraid of this, but the main thing is to remember it in order to correctly calculate the connection. This is the seam we should have on the front side after the connection. Then proceed to embroidery. We need a needle with a big eye so that you can freely populate the thread.I chose a butterfly for embroidery - the first thing I came under the eye. If you cannot calculate the embroidery pattern without the previous scheme, then it is better to find it in a book or on the Internet. You can draw your own pattern and then embroider it. In this case, one cell from the notebook should be calculated as one and a half "cross."To begin with, we embroider the torso and wings. In order for embroidery to look beautiful, the threads should not be tightened, they must be left a little loose. Then we sew the antennae. To do this, use the usual way to sew "needle forward" or "needle back."That's it. We got the original clamp with a butterfly. With a free knitting scarf can spin. In order to prevent this from happening, soak it first in warm (by no means hot) !!! and then in cold water. Squeeze out the water easily and let it dry. After such a simple reception, the threads will be straightened out and you will have a wide beautiful yoke.
