Puff pastry roses with apples

You will need
  • - 20 g of liquid honey;
  • - 2 pcs. sweet red apples;
  • - 2 pcs. green apples;
  • - 500 ml of water;
  • - 250 g of sugar;
  • - 1 fresh lemon;
  • - 1 stick of cinnamon;
  • - 500 g puff yeast-free dough;
  • - 40 g butter;
  • - 20 g of powdered sugar.
Wash and dry the apples well, cut them in half and remove the seeds and core. Use a sharp knife to carefully cut them into thin slices. Some prefer peeled apples.
Make a sweet syrup. Put water on the stove when boiling, gradually add to it: sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice. When the mixture becomes homogeneous, remove and cool.
In a still warm syrup, lower the apples and put them on the stove again. Cook the apples in syrup for 3-5 minutes. Take out the apples and let them dry a little.
Puff pastry should be very thinly rolled out and cut into small strips 3-4 cm wide. Sprinkle the dough with a little flour and powdered sugar and lay out slices of apples so that one slice goes a little on the other.Carefully fold the strip in the form of a rose and place it on a sheet. Grease the roses with melted butter and put in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Ready-made roses can be poured with honey and powdered with powder.
