When does toxicosis pass?

Waiting for a child is one of the most joyful periods in a woman’s life. But often, especially at the beginning of the journey, it is overshadowed by not very pleasant sensations of a different nature, which are called the generalizing word - toxicosis. Every future mother wants to know when the toxicosis passes, preferably the exact date. But, unfortunately, everything is purely individual. According to statistics, the end of the discomfort ends by week 13, but in some particular cases, the clinical manifestations of toxicosis leave a woman only 17.

Why toxicosis occurs is still unclear. There are several theories - someone says that because of the sharp increase in hCG (pregnancy hormone), someone blames the maternal immune system, and some doctors claim that toxicosis is a veiled fear of having a baby. But be that as it may, there is still no cure for this “disease”; in severe cases, a hospital is indicated; in mild cases, folk remedies or medicines prescribed by a doctor help.

Worse, if a woman has late toxicosis, the ailments of the second half of pregnancy. These include edema, problems with pressure and irregularities in the work of the excretory system, while early toxicosis by this point is already over. With regard to late toxicosis, you need to be alert and for any of its manifestations, immediately consult a doctor, because the complications caused by the ailments of the second half of pregnancy can seriously harm the baby.
