More specifically, this city occupied the central part of the Mesopotamian lowland, i.e. was in Lower Mesopotamia.
The ruins of Babylon are located near the modern city in Iraq - El Hill. Exact coordinates: 32 ° 32´30 ″ N, 44 ° 25 ′ 24 ″ c. d.
